Dr. Eddie van Etten, senior lecturer in Centre for Ecosystem Management, School of Natural Sciences, Edith Cowan University, Australia, visited ESTC during April 27-29. Dr. Xianjun Hao (Assistant Director of ESTC) hosted Dr. Etten who also discussed international collaboration with Dr. Vikas Chandhoke, the Dean of College of Science (COS). Dr. Etten also gave an invited talk entitled "Fire Regimes and Fire Management in Western Australia - An overview of research and potential for collaboration", on the ESTC/EOS900 seminar. A MOU between GMU and ECU was signed on November 25, 2009 for long term collaborative research and education efforts.
